Until Christ Returns

The Rainbow

Well dear friends, this is a "Until Christ returns" that differs a little from my usual one, but I just felt the urge strongly in my heart to share with you my testimony concerning a rainbow.

God's ways is not our ways, and His thoughts not ours,  but He is always in control.

A rainbow has a special meaning for me.  Every timeI see one I remember a certain time in our lives and God speaks again and again to me through a rainbow.

The first time something strange happened was when I watered the garden.  Oh I was so happy where we lived, but God had other plans for us.  That morning I saw something wonderful.  In the vapor of the water the light of the sun reflected a perfect rainbow, and I heard His still small voice in my heart saying  " Remember My faithfulness will always be with you".   When Peet came home he broke the news that we had to move for the owner of the house wants to build townhouses on the premises.  Oh I was so shocked,  but the Lord  wanted us to have our own house.  I always made comments about the smallholding where we  live now and said something like  "Oh I am so glad that we don't live here.".   haha, but our Heavenly Father wanted us to work and make this place presentable and to live here.  Never say never.  Isn't that so true. So to make a long story short we live now for many years in the house I lifted my nose so high for.....You haughty Susan you!!.  I am sure the Lord thought that of me.  A while later it started again

One day I was writing down a word of comfort for someone.  I was sitting in a room where the sun was shining in and suddenly I saw something strange.  The light caught my transparent pen in a perfect way.  It reflected a rainbow in my hand and on the paper on which I was writing.  Oh I was so glad, for I knew in my heart that this letter will be a blessing to the person to which it will be sent too, for I remembered that He said in my heart that He will always be faithful.

During the winter it doesn't rain where we live and one day suddenly the Lord caused  a "strange" thing to happen.  My daughter called me and said.  "Mom, just come and have a look here.  I went to her room and only the Lord knows how it was possible, but a perfect rainbow was filling her room.  I knew that the Lord was saying again.  "My faithfulness and promises, I will keep My child"

One day we were throwing some new coals in our stove that tried its best to keep the house warm.  Suddenly I saw it again. ------- The sun was shining perfectly on the "glass" which was in the door of the stove. It caused a perfect rainbow that shined on my arm and on the floor. There it was again. A perfect rainbow. -------

Remember, our Lord is not in the entertaining business.  He does everything with a cause.  In my life things like this was one of the ways He uses to prepare me for a time that something real bad happens and I needed to know that He is still with us and will always be faithful.------

One day I was drinking hot chocolate and I held the cup with both hands to keep my hands warm.  When I swallowed a bit of chocolate drink, I exhaled in the warm cup, and it caused vapor to warm my face.  "Coincidentally" I was standing in front of the mirror of our mantelpiece, and what did I see?.  A perfect round rainbow, with bright colors.  I was amazed for it became clear to me that the Lord really wanted to make it clear to me that His faithfulness will always be with us.  There were many other incidents that I have forgotten now, but these that I mentioned and others happened as in two weeks time.  Not over a long period.-------Oh dear me, then it happened.  We got a real shock pertaining our lives.  Oh but what great assurance.  "I will be faithful."

Our Lord was indeed faithful and carried us through a big trial.--------I will never forget. We were on holiday in the about a thousand miles from home, when we got the news that they broke in at our home on Christmas Eve.  On Christmasday we had to return, not knowing what we will find at our house.  As far as we drove there where heavy rainstorms, but the Lord lead us safely through.  The clouds were almost black and I was so scared.
Suddenly everybody in the car said.  "Just look there".  Between the clouds there it was.  A rainbow so bright like I have never seen.  If I had painted it, people would say that it is not realistic.  But I saw the message of my Lord so clear and bright that I knew that I knew, all will be OK at the end, and Oh praise His wonderful Name.  Can you believe that a robbery can work out for the best.  Well it did for us, for the insurance paid out in full, and we could buy only the necessary things and also the most needed things that wasn't even stolen but we didn't have the money to buy it.  God had provided through a robbery.  Hallelujah!!!!!!

Isn't the Lord Jesus Christ just simply indescribably wonderful!!!!!.  -------Since then, so many many times, when we drive in the car or wherever we are, when Peet and I was discussing a difficulty we face, the Lord made us aware of a rainbow that "happens to be" in the clouds.  Oh what relief.  He will be faithful, and that settled it.

Until this day He never failed us, never let us down or left us without support.  He always saw us through and dear reader, if you are a born again child of God, you also can testify of His faithfulness.  He is so wonderfully wonderful.
I give Him praise and all the honor.

Love and peace be with you,
Susan.
