Focus My Eyes Upon
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who
for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Dearest precious ones,
I write this writing to me firstly and then I pray that it will bless
you as the revelation blessed me when I realized what this verse also has
got to say to us apart from the fact that Jesus Christ stayed true to His
Father because He has tasted what Heaven is like and didn't want to miss
the goal God the Father set before Him
I have been very depressed lately. During this year I was
in hospital already four times and on the 28th of July, I must go again
for an operation to remove my Thyroid. I have three tumors in the
Thyroid which they discovered. We thought it was only one but a sonar
test showed three. I really came through a real battering time since
the beginning of this year, and I started to wish that I could only go
to my home in Heaven. I lost interest in everything and as my dear
children stated last night. "Yes mom, the lights was shining, but
there was nobody home" (An Afrikaans saying when one only existed but didn't
really lived. When I prayed, I just knelt before the L-rd, but had
no words anymore. Sometimes I just said "L-rd, here is Susan standing
before you." that's all I could say, and somehow I always stood up
from my knees strengthened. --------Are you in the same situation because
satan has used you a punching bag lately?. You already suffered so much
that you can identify with me?.--------Well I have a Rhema word for you
and me this morning.
As you see in the above Scripture, Jesus very well know how he was going
to die. In those days the Romans crucified people very often. Surely
He had to walk pass such a crucifixions so often and He had to realize
as He looked upon the poor victims, that, "this is waiting for Me too."
--------But did He go and sit in a corner and got depressed about it.
Wow! I would have done worse. I would have quitted the whole mission, for
the agony was indescribable and the people didn't die always so "quickly."
sometimes it took more than a day to eventually die. -----You see
what was so terrible. A person who got crucified, while hanging with
his whole weight on the nail pierced hands, he couldn't breath, for he
full weight of his body caused the ribs to squash the lungs. Now in order
to stay able to breath, he had to push himself up again with his feet.
-------That must have caused so much pain!!, for the nails was driven also
driven right through the feet into the wooden cross. When he couldn't
stand the pain any longer, he had to try to hang on the nailpierced hands
again, and this agonizing situation he had to endure until death would
come mercifully. It was pure hellish pain until eventually such a
person would die.
But what did precious Jesus Christ our Saviour do. Yes, he saw
many many crucifixions, B U T!!!. His mind was set on.... "the joy
that was set before Him"
You see, He, Jesus Christ and Friend Holy Spirit was with God always.
He was present when the Earth was created or restored, after satan made
such a mess of this planet. He knew the presence of God, and how
wonderful, indescribable it was to be with His Father and in Heaven. ------So
He made a firm decision that he would not focus on the reality of the way
He would die. but to keep His wonderful Eyes on the joy that
was waiting for Him, if He only could keep His Eyes focused on the goal!!
Oh there is always an "if" that comes with a promise. God will say:
"If you will do this or that, I will......and then there is a promise."
You see, I have discovered, that there is always a condition and then a
promise of blessings, if I do what the Lord commanded.
My dear brother and sister in the Lord Jesus Christ, and I am talking
to myself today and I ask the question. Susan, dear reader, on what
do we focus our spiritual eyes. On my Big Big problems, or on ....""Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;?" Oh my my I have
failed Him in doing that. G-d's word says in 1Peter 4:12 "Beloved,
do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place
to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to
you and your position) were befalling you.....But insofar as you are sharing
Christ's sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory [full radiance and
splendor] is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph [exultantly]."
Whow!! what a Scripture. I feel strengthened already myself.
Yes, the Word of God has got great Power!. I will end with another
Scripture in the Amplified Bible that is one of my favorite Scriptures.
oooOooo
The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible
army: He makes my feet like hinds' feet and will make me to walk
[not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress
upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!
Habakkuk 3:19.
To finally close. Jesus Christ was just as much human as we are.
He did not have supernatural powers because He was the Son of God. Otherwise
He couldn't say the following:
He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me
on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside
My Father on His throne." Rev. 3:21
May this writing be a real blessing to your heart as it was to mine
too while I was writing it through the guidance of Friend Holy Spirit.
With great great love,
Susan.
